Over 350 Richmond Hill seniors will be publicly recognized and celebrated by Town of Richmond Hill Deputy Mayor Brenda Hogg and Members of Council

As they host the second annual Mayor & Council Seniors’ Fair, a day of honouring the senior residents in Town with entertainment, a free barbecue lunch and informational presentations

At the McConaghy Seniors’ Centre at 10100 Yonge Street (just north of Major Mackenzie Drive)

On Friday, June 6, 2008 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Town is proud to be hosting this Seniors’ Fair as a kick off to June being Seniors’ Month. The Town joins the community in recognizing and thanking the Richmond Hill elders who have worked hard and continue to contribute to the prosperity that we all enjoy today. This year’s theme is Discover the Possibilities.

Following along with the theme, honoured guests will not only be acknowledged and entertained, but also learn about important issues facing seniors today, including health, safety, housing, estate planning, community social events, senior recreational programs, programming at the soon-to-be-opened Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts and much more. Presentations will be made by local organizations such as Delmanor Seniors Communities, RBC Dominion Securities, York Region Housing, Psychogeriatric Resource, York Regional Police and the Richmond Hill Fire Department.
