Representatives from Hill House Hospice and Hospice Richmond Hill will be joined by Mayor Dave Barrow and members of the Town’s National Public Works Week (NPWW) staff organizing committee

As they each receive a share of the proceeds from the charity barbecue that was held at this year’s NPWW Public Open House event

At the south-east corner of Richmond Green Park near the waterfall –

For the past several years a charity barbecue has been held during NPWW at the Public Open House. This year, donations were also encouraged from participants and spectators of the Miller Cup Challenge event with the goal of raising even more money for community organizations including, Hill House Hospice and Hospice Richmond Hill. Since 2006, more than $5,500 has been raised for these organizations.

This year the Town celebrated its 12^th year participating in NPWW. A variety of events were held during the week of May 17 – 23 to raise awareness of and recognize the contribution that Public Works staff make in creating a safe and sustainable community here in Richmond Hill.
