Will be hosting the Town of Richmond Hill Mayor’s Blood Donor Clinic

At the Hillcrest blood donor clinic located at Hillcrest Mall (9350 Yonge Street)

Running from August 25 to August 28 during the following hours: Tuesdays & Thursdays from 12:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. and Wednesdays & Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. (Mayor Barrow and Members of Council will be in attendance on Wednesday, August 26 at 10 a.m.)

Canadian Blood Services needs to collect 25,200 units of blood in the Central Ontario region during August and September to continue meeting patient needs and 155,100 units in the same region over the 2009-10 fiscal year.

Traditionally, the Mayor’s Blood Donor Clinic has been a one day event. However, because blood donations are lower in the summer months due to vacations and a greater demand for it, Mayor Barrow has extended this year’s clinic to four days instead. The extra days will allow more staff and residents to make a donation.
