WHY?
|
This year’s open house celebrates 10 years since the opening of the computer lab and all the great work that has been done by the volunteer members of the Computer Club. Computer Club members will be on hand to give demonstrations like how to set up an email account and browse the Web, as well as answer questions and host discussions about computers and related technology.
The mission of the M.L. McConaghy Seniors’ Centre Computer Club is to provide older adults the opportunity to learn about computers, from the very basics of turning the computer on, to learning to send emails, creating documents and gaining confidence in using a computer. The Club meets the first and third Saturdays of each month from 10 a.m. to 12 noon. Older adults who are interested in learning more can come to the open forum. Courses are taught in the lab and registration is handled through the M.L. McConaghy Seniors’ Centre or the Parks, Recreation & Culture Department. For more details, please call (905) 737-1818.
