Public Transit Comes For a Business Lunch
In Markham/Richmond Hill
The Towns of Markham and Richmond Hill, in collaboration with Smart Commute 404-7 Transportation Management Association, announce the start of a unique public transit service.
This pilot project – The Lunch Express – will operate in the Commerce Valley and Beaver Creek areas (Highway 7 – between Hwy 404 and Bayview Avenue) from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on Thursdays and Fridays for 16 weeks. Project funding comes from the Markham Environmental Sustainability Fund and the Town of Richmond Hill.
This new free-of-charge service will shuttle business people from their office locations to local restaurants and shops, helping to eliminate parking challenges, while reducing air pollution.
