Official Plan Home Official Plan Background Studies Home
The Urban Structure Study examines the existing spatial framework within which the Town's new Official Plan will be developed. The study examines the evolution of the Town's urban structure up to this point in time, along with the existing land uses, movement patterns, environmental features and systems, topography and views, and the Provincial and Regional policy direction for the urban structure. The study categorizes the top 10 places people told us they value through People Plan Richmond Hill. The study suggests that we need to plan in a different way than we have planned up to this point in time. Richmond Hill has an opportunity to embark on a new path as we develop our future urban structure, and stakeholders told us that they want to continue to collaborate with the Town to build an exceptional future urban structure over time together. We want to hear from you how to best recognize and engage the distinct and unique aspects of the Town's location, economy, environment, built form and people!
