 The Town of Richmond Hill has recently updated its Strategic Plan, and is developing a new Official Plan (OP). As part of the development of the new OP, the Town needs to update its parkland policies in response to Provincial policy direction, recent planning by York Region, and continued growth pressures facing Richmond Hill and the Greater Toronto Area. This study forms part of the OP review and will look at parkland challenges and opportunities, parkland classifications, land uses and urban design in relation to parkland, spatial organization of parkland, and parkland dedication strategies.
