 What Will Your Neighbourhood Be Like In 25 Years?
Official Plan - Public Consultation
The Town’s residential neighbourhoods include housing and a variety of other uses to meet the needs of the local community. While major growth and intensification will be directed to the centres and corridors, neighbourhoods will continue to evolve and change. The new Official Plan will include policies to help manage these changes and direct uses to the appropriate uses within neighbourhoods.
On November 25 and December 3, 2009 all members of the community were invited to participate in one of two meetings on neighbourhoods as part of the development of the Town’s new Official Plan and work with Town staff to help answer such questions as what should your neighbourhood be like in 25 years? What land uses would you like to see? Topics such as parks, institutional uses such as daycares, professional home occupations, and residential secondary suites were explored.
