The Town held it's launch of its Character Community program for staff during the week of October 18-22, 2004. The launch featured a video and slideshow and an information session by the Town's Character Community committee. Featured speakers included Regional & Local Councillor Dave Barrow and Sue Smitko, Executive Director for the Character Community initiative. Also on hand was former Toronto Maple Leafs captain and Character Community Program Champion Wendel Clark.
