The following road, sidewalk and water-related maintenance projects are currently ongoing in Richmond Hill:
Curb and Sidewalk Repair Program - June 28 to October 15, 2010 Repairs of curbs and sidewalks are being undertaken through the contractor Laycon Construction Services Inc. at various locations throughout the Town of Richmond Hill. During various phases of construction, there will be parking and lane restrictions. The Town, through its contractors, will make every effort to minimize any inconvenience to residents and businesses in undertaking these projects. Your patience and cooperation are greatly appreciated.
Watermain Valve Inspection & Maintenance - July 12 to September 10, 2010, 7 a.m. to 6 p.m., daily As part of our commitment to monitor and maintain our inventory of watermain control valves, which are an important part of our underground infrastructure, valve exercising of our water distribution network will be ongoing throughout the summer. As with any mechanical device, regular inspection and maintenance is essential to performance, and these valves are critical to our distribution network during emergency situations. LC Pipeline Inc. will have signs on their work vehicles indicating they are an authorized Town of Richmond Hill contractor.
Hot Mix Asphalt Patching Program - July 19 to September 24, 2010, Repairs of damaged asphalt are ongoing through contractor Road Mill Construction Inc. at various locations throughout the Town of Richmond Hill. During various phases of construction there will be parking and lane restrictions. The Town, through its contractors, will make every effort to minimize any inconvenience to residents and businesses in undertaking these projects. Relaying of Brick Paving Stones Repair Program - August 9 to October 29, 2010 Relaying of brick paving stones is ongoing through contractor Forest Contractors at various locations throughout the Town of Richmond Hill. During various phases of construction there will be parking and lane restrictions.
