The following road, sidewalk and water-related maintenance projects are currently ongoing in Richmond Hill:
Sidewalk Leveling - May 20 to June 20, 2014
The Town will be leveling sidewalks in various locations of Richmond Hill over the next month. The work will involve drilling a hole in the sidewalk and then injecting a cement mixture to hydraulically lift the sidewalk so that it is level.
Road Resurfacing - April 28 to mid-June
Richmond Hill through contractor, Furfari Paving, will be resurfacing Kersey Crescent from Harding Boulevard West to Weldrick Road West this spring. During various phases of construction, there will be lane restrictions imposed, with partial driveway entrance closures. Every effort will be made to minimize any inconvenience to our residents; however, residents are advised to exercise caution around construction activities and equipment. We thank you in advance for your cooperation and patience during the various phases of this project.
Sanitary Sewer Construction - October 2013 to October 2014
The Regional Municipality of York is constructing a new sanitary sewer in the Bathurst Street and Carville Road area of Richmond Hill. The new sewer will run along Carville Road from just east of Ayr Road to Bathurst Street and then south on Bathurst Street to approximately Autumn Hill Boulevard. During construction there may be some lane restrictions and/or lane shifting in this area, as such residents are advised to expect some delays.
