Richmond Hill Announces Official By-election Results

RICHMOND HILL – The official results of Richmond Hill’s By-election for Mayor have been certified by the City Clerk.
Mayor-Elect David West will be sworn in to office this afternoon, Tuesday, January 25, and will serve the rest of the present term of Council, ending on November 14, 2022. The swearing-in ceremony will be made available on Richmond Hill’s YouTube channel.
In the By-election, 38,909 votes were cast, representing a 32% voter turnout. Approximately 93% of votes were cast online.
