Attendees at the virtual open house will learn more about the exciting future ahead, outlined in the draft Parks Plan.
The plan proposes guidelines for enhancing park systems to increase connectivity between neighbourhoods, responding to community demands and trends for amenities such as pickleball courts, designing and revitalizing destination and community parks, applying a climate change lens to the development and redevelopment of parks and much more.
Council endorsed the key directions for the Parks Plan in March 2022 to support an active and healthy, environmentally sustainable and culturally vibrant city. The plan will be presented at Council for final approval this spring.
