Registration now open for Clean Up, Green Up Weeks April 22 to May 6

RICHMOND HILL – Clean Up, Green Up Weeks are back and everyone is invited to help protect our natural environment by volunteering to clean up around their neighbourhoods! 

From April 22 to May 6, residents, businesses, community groups and schools are encouraged to come together to help pick up litter that has accumulated over the winter in parks, trails, on boulevards and in open spaces.

Richmond Hill Council Opposes Quebec's Bill 21

Richmond Hill – Richmond Hill Council unanimously passed a motion at the February 9 Council Meeting opposing Quebec’s Bill 21. The City joins municipalities across Canada in speaking out against the law as discriminatory in nature and undermining the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Quebec’s Bill 21 bans public servants from wearing religious symbols, such as crosses, hijabs, turbans and yarmulkes, at work.
