Cultural Leadership Committee
Volunteer for the City of Richmond Hill’s Cultural Leadership Committee (CLC) and help shape culture in our community!
Through the CLC, the City of Richmond Hill will connect and engage with local community groups, businesses, and residents for ongoing discussions on effective ways of implementing recommendations in the current Recreation and Culture Plan, as well as proactively responding to any issues that are brought forward that support culture in Richmond Hill.
The City is seeking Richmond Hill community members from various sectors including:
- Artists
- Arts and Cultural Community Groups
- Residents from Diverse Populations in Richmond Hill
- Creative Industries
- Cultural Heritage
- Education and Schools
- Non-Profit or Community Outreach Organizations
- Tourism and Events
- Youth (ages 15-25)
All members of the Cultural Leadership Committee will hold their seat for one term, which is two-years in length, with the option of returning for a second term. Members will be expected to attend a minimum of four meetings per year (both in-person and virtually).

Recreation and Culture Plan
On December 7, 2022, Richmond Hill Council endorsed a combined Recreation and Culture Plan to guide the delivery of recreation and culture facilities and services to the year 2032.
The plan focuses on indoor recreation facilities, recreation and culture programs and services, and cultural opportunities.
The document includes information about Richmond Hill’s Planning Context, A Plan for Recreation, A Plan for Culture, Implementation Strategy, as well as Overarching Recommendations.
