The City is undertaking Stormwater Master Plans to ensure that our stormwater infrastructure system is capable of supporting Richmond Hill’s current and future needs in a cost effective and sustainable way. This will include evaluation of the City’s current stormwater infrastructure systems for efficiency improvement opportunities while taking into account Richmond Hill’s changing landscape.

The Master Plans will be carried out according to the Municipal Class Environmental Assessment (2024, as amended) under the Environmental Assessment Act. Results from these studies will be documented in Project File Reports that will be made available for a public review period. At that time, residents, Indigenous communities, government agencies, adjacent municipalities and other interested persons or groups will be informed of when and where the environmental assessment documents can be reviewed in the sections below.
