COVID-19 Update: Waste bins will not be available for purchase/exchange in person or online and curbside pickup is being paused until further notice due to provincial COVID-19 restrictions. Residents can still purchase garbage tags online for delivery by mail.
Richmond Hill's current waste limit is three bags or items per collection - furniture items count as one item each. If you have more than three items you must use garbage tags for extra items to be collected.
Garbage tags are sold in sets of five for $10.90 (including HST).

Residents now have two options for purchasing new blue boxes, green bins and kitchen containers, as well as paying to exchange broken Richmond Hill labelled blue boxes (22 gallon only) and green bins.
Waste bins will not be available for purchase/exchange in person or online and curbside pickup is being paused until further notice due to provincial COVID-19 lockdown restrictions.
*An exchange fee of $8.45 (includes HST) will apply for replacement of damaged or broken Richmond Hill labelled blue boxes (22 gallon only) and green bins to help offset replacement costs. We do not exchange large blue bins with lids.
If you are a resident in a newly built home (excluding custom built homes) you can get a free set of recycling and organics containers by bringing your Tarion certificate (with photo I.D.) to the Operations Centre (1200 Elgin Mills Road East).
