Our crews are working as efficiently and safely as possible to ensure your roads and sidewalks are clear. Crews are continuing with plowing and salting operations throughout the day. Thick and heavy ice accumulation has created some challenges for our sidewalk plows and as a result operators are focused on clearing sidewalks along Regional routes. Crews will begin clearing sidewalks within subdivisions once it is safe to do so.
April 18, 4:30 p.m. - Our winter maintenance crews are continuing the plowing operations. Unfortunately, neighbourhood sidewalks will take significant time to clear, as our sidewalk plows are experiencing difficulty with moving the accumulation.
