More in this Section...

The goal of the Richmond Hill Character Community Initiative is to encourage organizations to foster a culture of good character.  Character Community Organizations promote and demonstrate:

  • Optimism
  • Initiative
  • Perseverance
  • Respect
  • Responsibility
  • Honesty
  • Integrity
  • Compassion
  • Courage
  • Inclusiveness
  • Fairness
  • Humour

Organizations that join the Character Community Initiative focus on these behaviours and attitudes. They encourage participants to work together to identify the character traits that are most important to their organization while raising awareness about the importance of demonstrating these traits.

The Richmond Hill initiative is aligned with the Character Community Foundation of York Region.

Become a Character Community Organization Today

Your community group can become part of the Character Community Initiative for free. Your group must agree to support the character attributes chosen by the Character Community Foundation of York Region in all programs and events.

Complete this application form to become a Character Community Organization!

Why Should My Organization Join the Character Community Initiative?

There are many benefits for your organization in joining the Character Community Initiative:
