Cultural Summit
The Cultural Summit is the event for artists, creative industry professionals, cultural organizations, students, volunteers and culture lovers to network and learn more about arts and culture in Richmond Hill.
The event includes an update on the Richmond Hill Recreation & Culture Plan, performances by local artists, the presentation of the Richmond Hill Arts Awards, a showcase of local arts and culture organizations and more!

2023 Cultural Summit

The Cultural Summit took place on April 26, 2023 at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts.
The evening featured an update on 2023 Cultural Plan activities, performances by local artists including the Classical Persian Trio, Kim Wheatley, Dance Together Project, Bernard Fan, Vicki Lovelee and presentation of the Richmond Hill Arts Awards. |
2019 Cultural Summit

The 2019 Cultural Summit took place on March 26, 2019 at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts. The evening featured an update on 2018 Cultural Plan activities, performances by local artists including Jake Charles, Arts Mackenzie, Opera York Children's Chorus, Norman Dance Company, Classical Persian Music and presentation of the Richmond Hill Arts Awards. The night also featured a special Spotlight Artist Talk from Richmond Hill's 2018 Artist in Residence, Aimie Botelho as well as the official unveiling of the Cultural Summit Visual Art Gallery. |

The evening featured an update on 2017 cultural plan activities, performances by local artists including Ken, Mark and Stephen Sparling, Shadowpath Theatre Productions, the Toronto Chinese Philharmonic Arts Center, York Region Chamber Music and Panwar Music and Dance Productions and presentation of the Richmond Hill Arts Awards. 2017 Cultural Summit

The 2017 Richmond Hill Cultural Summit took place on March 30, 2017 at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts. The evening featured an update on key 2016 Cultural Plan initiatives, performances by local artists and the premiere of Celebrated Stories: Cultural Icons film project featuring interviews with Farley Mowat, R.H. Thomson and Elvis Stojko. The night also featured Spotlight Richmond Hill, Celebrating Local Success Stories. Attendees heard from three Richmond Hill-based artists, Andrea End, Sean Cisterna and Jessica Tse, whose projects have enhanced cultural activity in Richmond Hill. View photos of the 2017 event. |
2016 Cultural Summit

The 2016 Richmond Hill Cultural Summit took place on March 29, 2016 at the Richmond Hill Centre for the Performing Arts. The Cultural Summit featured an update on key 2015 Cultural Plan initiative, the Summit Visual Art Gallery, performances by local artists and a showcase of Richmond Hill-based cultural organizations. 2014 Cultural Summit

Our first annual Richmond Hill Cultural Summit took place on March 26, 2014. We celebrated the previous years' cultural programs, festivals and events and all creative industries in Richmond Hill.
The Summit also launched a number of new projects, such as the Richmond Hill Culture Map and the short film series Richmond Hill: Past, Present and Future, a Celebrated Stories Project. |
