To view the Aquatic Opportunities and prevent any hold up in considering you as an aquatic volunteer, please ensure you have completed the following fields in your profile, found under (Additional Info):
Please add @richmondhill.ca to your safe email list otherwise, they might end up in your junk/spam file. Step 3: Wait to be contacted by your indicated pool The Aquatic Supervisor from the pool you identified on the form will contact you when they are ready to consider volunteers. Step 4: Aquatic Facility Orientation If you agree to an aquatic volunteer shift for the duration of the upcoming session, you will need to participate in an Aquatic Facility Orientation at that location (if you have not already completed one at that facility). Orientations must be completed at least once at any pool you are interested in volunteering at. Step 5: Volunteer for the duration of your aquatic shift commitment. Volunteering is a pathway to increase your chances of Aquatic Employment. Being punctual, dependable, and able to communicate with your team and customers means something when it comes to hiring. Step 6: Track your hours Tracking forms are available in your "Files”, found on the volunteer website under your profile. This tracking form must be completed at the end of each shift, and your hours must be signed off by the on-duty Supervisor.
Step 7: Log your hours online Login to your volunteer profile regularly to confirm your volunteer shifts/hours are accurately reflected on the database. Only following your volunteer term, once you email a copy of your Volunteer Tracking Form (with appropriate signatures) will your logged hours be confirmed. Please note: if you would like your hours to be used towards the Aquatic Volunteer Recognition Program, please ensure to log these hours under the 'Aquatic Volunteer Recognition Program' category. |
