Direzze to Oxford Trail Connection - Design underway |

Great Lands Park - Design Underway |
Plans are underway for the development of Great Lands Park located on Northern Heights Drive, south of 16th Avenue and east of Yonge Street. This project includes the design, construction and programming of the approximately 0.3 hectare park adjacent to the Great Lands development in the south-east corner of the growing 16th Key Development Area (KDA). The 16th KDA Policy Directions report directs for the City to secure additional park lands to the east of this park. Until such time as those lands redevelop, this project will create an interim “pop-up” park on the Great Lands park site to serve local residents. This project is comprised of two components:

Lake to Lake Cycling Route and Walking Trail - Construction underway |
The Lake to Lake Cycling Route and Walking Trail will be a 121 km recreational and commuter trail connecting Lake Simcoe to Lake Ontario. It will form a key spine of York Region and the City of Toronto's active transportation network providing new opportunities for both recreational and commuter traffic to explore the region and to travel on dedicated and comfortable cycling and pedestrian infrastructure. In Richmond Hill, the Lake to Lake route will span 14 km in a north-south direction from Bloomington Road to Highway 7, connecting with planned sections of the Lake to Lake Route in Aurora and Markham. Macleod Estate Trail - Design Underway |
Toronto and Region Conservation Authority (TRCA) and the City of Richmond Hill are working in partnership to construct a new 800-metre multi-use trail connection from the Oak Ridges Corridor Conservation Reserve (ORCCR) trail to the Silver Maple Road. Construction is underway for a new park located at 6 Roosevelt Drive. Construction is scheduled to be completed by late fall, weather permitting. Bayview Hill Community Park Revitalization Master Plan - Design underway |
Plans are underway for the revitalization of Bayview Hill Community Park located at 114 Spadina Road. We are developing a master plan that will be implemented over several phases. Our proposed plans provide a graphical representation of the overall design intent. They are not final and will be subject to change pending input from the public and City staff. Specific features and elements will be finalized during future phases.

Briar Nine Trail Improvements – Construction underway |
Construction is underway for trail improvements to the north entrance of Briar Nine Trail (near Bloomington) and the connection to Milbourne Lane (new development). Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of June 2022, weather permitting. As a measure of safety, this section of the park will be closed during construction and residents are asked to refrain from entering the site. Carrville Park Revitalization – Construction starting soon |
Construction will be underway shortly for the revitalization of Carrville Park. This includes upgrades to the playground, pathways, shelter, and ball diamond as well as tree planting and new site furniture. Construction will begin in May and last until the end of September, weather permitting. Residents were invited to comment on the proposed designs from November 10-28, 2022. Concept 2 with minor technical refinements was selected as the preferred option. As a measure of safety, the park will be closed during construction and residents are asked to refrain from entering the site. Dove Park Revitalization - Design underway |
Plans are underway for the revitalization of Dove Park. This includes upgrades to the playground, pathways, exercise equipment, a new shade structure, tree planting and new site furniture. Construction is planned for 2022.

Fulton Parkette - Construction starting soon |
construction will be underway shortly for the revitalization of Fulton Parkette located on Valleyford Avenue, south of Weldrick Road East and west of Bayview Avenue. This includes upgrades to the play equipment, curbs, safety surfacing, walkways, site furniture and half-basketball court. Construction is proposed for summer 2022. Silver Stream Park Waterplay Replacement - Design underway |
Plans are underway for the replacement of the waterplay and shade structure furniture and paving at Silver Stream Park located on Wayside Avenue, east of Shirley Drive. The proposed work includes the replacement of the waterplay features, system components, concrete paving, plumbing as well as shade structure furniture replacement and concrete curbs. Construction is planned for 2022.
