Interested participants (new and returning) are invited to an information session. Local artists, arts organizations, community members and groups based in Richmond Hill will learn about the upcoming events, application details and have an opportunity to ask organizers questions.

Registration is required. Registration confirmation will include details on joining the virtual meeting.

Registration deadline for the Virtual Information Session is Monday, January 5, 2026.

The Studio Tour application is open to all visual and applied artists, fine craft artisans, and artist collectives whose studios and galleries are located in the City of Richmond Hill.

Artists will be notified of the outcome of their application in March. Studio Tour fee payment of $84.83 and supplementary documentation is due upon successful admittance to participate in the Studio Tour.

Artist/Site Criteria

If you are considering participating in the Richmond Hill Studio Tour, please review the criteria listed below.

• Host site artists should have dedicated studio or gallery space. The studio or gallery location must be appropriate for public attendance and have the required display equipment/furniture to properly display the work.
• Artists must present and display their work in a professional manner so it can be readily and easily viewed by the public.
• Host site artists must remain open and be present at all times during Doors Open & Studio Tour, from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026.
• Artists must represent original works, including but not limited to the following: painting, photography, drawing, sculpture, pottery, blown glass, carving, fibre/textile art, printmaking, collage, glass, weaving, and jewelry.

Applications will be assessed on the following:

• Quality of the artistic work
• Geographical location (sites located within the boundaries of Richmond Hill)
• Ease of access to the studio/gallery (accessible to the public)
