Richmond Hill Reaches Contract Agreement with Firefighters
RICHMOND HILL – Richmond Hill Council approved a new five-year contract with the city’s Fire and Emergency Services Division at the April 30 Council meeting. The contract covers the period from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2022.

Yonge Subway Extension Gets the Green Light
RICHMOND HILL – Today, Premier Doug Ford announced a $28.5 billion funding commitment to expand Ontario’s transit network. As part of this commitment, the Province will invest $5.6 billion to build the Yonge Subway Extension (YSE) north to Richmond Hill. Council passed By-law 56-19 to officially change Richmond Hill’s name to The Corporation of the City of Richmond Hill. With the change, Council reinforced Richmond Hill’s position in York Region and the Province as an urbanized and competitive municipality.
