GTAH Mayors and Chairs Seek Federal Commitment to Infrastructure Funding

Richmond Hill Mayor Dave Barrow along with other Greater Toronto Area and Hamilton (GTAH) Mayors and Regional Chairs participated in the Premier’s Summit on Collaboration and Coordination at Queen’s Park where a number of important commonly shared issues were discussed. A priority for the group was the need for the Federal Party Leaders to make a strong commitment to infrastructure funding. In a demonstration of support, all signed a joint letter.

Mayor Barrow delivered his 2015 State of the Town Address at the Richmond Hill Chamber of Commerce Mayor’s Luncheon & Member Showcase today. He shared highlights from the last year and the many accomplishments achieved. The Mayor also reminded Chamber members of the importance of being involved in their community and local government, and detailed the many initiatives and events they can participate in.

Council Proclaims September 21 to 27 Smart Commute Week in Richmond Hill
During Smart Commute Week, Richmond Hill staff and residents are encouraged to try a different mode of travel, such as walking, cycling, carpooling, using public transit or teleworking.
