RICHMOND HILL – Spread the news – the City of Richmond Hill is hiring! We're gearing up to reopen our iconic Wave Pool for Summer 2024 and we need more aquatics staff to make it possible.
The Wave Pool is the only indoor wave pool in York Region, featuring a warm water small pool, a 100 ft water slide and 3 ft waves. We’re hiring for a variety of aquatics roles, including swim instructors, lifeguards and aquatic attendants.

Community invited to vote for their favourite feathered friend until June 14, 2024
RICHMOND HILL – In celebration of birds and their importance to the community and environment, the public is invited to help select Richmond Hill’s ‘Bird Friendly City’ bird.
The following six feathered friends have been chosen as the top contenders:
- American Goldfinch
- Bald Eagle
- Cedar Waxwing
- Great Blue Heron
- Red-winged Blackbird
- Sandhill Crane
