Public Service Announcement: Changes to City Recreation Programs in Response to Expanded Provincial COVID-19 Restrictions

Richmond Hill – Today, the Ontario government announced additional public health measures for York Region, including Richmond Hill, beginning Monday, October 19, 2020.
As a result, the City is making the following changes to recreation activities:
- indoor in-person fitness classes are cancelled
- indoor in-person dance classes are cancelled
- aquafit classes and swim lessons are cancelled
- skating lessons are cancelled
- public skating is cancelled
- fitness centres/weight rooms are closed

As a city, we take pride in our diversity. It is one of the things I love most about Richmond Hill. And it’s why I am not only saddened, but also deeply disappointed by incidents of intolerance, including any hate-motivated vandalism, in our community.
