By-Election To Fill School Board Trustee Vacancy

Richmond Hill – On April 5, the City of Richmond Hill was informed of the resignation of Crystal Yu. As permitted by the Municipal Election Act, 1996, the YRDSB requires the City Clerk to hold a By-election to fill the vacancy in the office of York Region District School Board Trustee in Richmond Hill Wards 1, 2 and 4.
The City will begin accepting nominations on Friday, April 12, 2024. A By-election will be held on Monday, July 15, 2024. Elected by residents, the Trustee is guided by the
