RICHMOND HILL – In honour of those who bravely served our country and to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the end of World War II, flags at all City of Richmond Hill facilities will be at half-mast on Wednesday, September 2.

It has come to my attention that racist graffiti was found in Richmond Hill.
I am appalled and angry to hear of this happening in our great City. This racist and hateful behaviour will not be tolerated in Richmond Hill.
I know our community to be one that is safe and welcoming to all. Embracing our differences is what makes our City stronger and more vibrant. These despicable acts do not reflect our community or the people who live here.

Public Service Announcement - BBQs and Tents Not Permitted at Lake Wilcox Park

RICHMOND HILL – For the safety and enjoyment of all, park goers are reminded of new and existing rules at Lake Wilcox Park.
- Effective September 1, barbecuing is no longer permitted at Lake Wilcox Park. Barbecues damage the sod and create a potential fire hazard.
- Tents have never been allowed at Lake Wilcox Park or any other City park. They damage the grass and create a tripping obstacle. Tents also block the lake views that bring people to Lake Wilcox, impeding the enjoyment of all park goers.

RICHMOND HILL – Beginning today, Richmond Hill’s Operations Centre (1200 Elgin Mills Road East) will re-open with modified hours for blue box, green bin, kitchen catcher and garbage tag purchases and exchanges.
Purchase prices for garbage tags (sold in sets of five) and new waste bins are available online. A new exchange fee of $7.35 (plus HST) will apply to replace damaged or broken Richmond Hill-labelled blue boxes and green bins to help offset replacement costs. Payment must be made by Interac...
