Notice of Road, Sidewalk and Parking Lot Maintenance

The City will be conducting the following maintenance on municipal roads, sidewalks and parking lots throughout Richmond Hill from now until October 31, 2024 (weather permitting):
- Hot mix asphalt patching on roads
- Crack sealing on roads
- Sanitary manhole, storm manhole, water valve chamber and catch basin repairs
- Sidewalk repairs
- Pavement markings/line painting on roads and in facility parking lots
- Facility parking lot repairs

Flags Lowered to Half-Mast: 2023 National Day of Mourning

In recognition of the National Day of Mourning (April 28), all flags at City facilities have been lowered to half-mast.
On February 1, 1991, the Federal government passed the Worker’s Day of Mourning Act designating April 28 as the official day observed each year to recognize workers injured, killed or disabled on the job or who suffer from occupational illnesses.

Flags at Half-Mast: Passing of former Prime Minister The Right Honourable Brian Mulroney

It is with great sadness that Mayor and Council have learned of the passing of former Prime Minister The Right Honourable Brian Mulroney, Canada’s 18th prime minister, from 1984 to 1993.
Richmond Hill’s thoughts and prayers are with Mr. Mulroney’s family.
Flags at Richmond Hill’s main Municipal Offices and City facilities have been lowered to half-mast in his honour.
A condolence book will be available to sign at the main Municipal Offices, 225 East Beaver Creek Road, during regular business hours...
