On Monday, April 28, our flags fly at half-mast for the National Day of Mourning and workers who have lost their lives or suffered work-related injuries and illnesses. We pay respect to these workers, their family and friends. We’re reminded that one death or injury is too many.
Notice of Meander Park Turf Repair

Work is underway at Meander Park to repair damaged grass around the slide and zip line areas. This will help prevent wear and tear, and ensure safe playing conditions. These areas will be fenced off for approximately three to five weeks while the grass grows in.

Notice of Demonstration - February 28

The City of Richmond Hill has been informed that a demonstration is expected to take place on Saturday February 28, 2026 beginning at 1 p.m.
The demonstration will take place along Yonge Street, starting at 16th Avenue.
Residents, visitors and businesses may experience traffic delays and increased congestion in the area.
Increased Traffic Expected Near Richmond Green – February 19, 2026

The City of Richmond Hill has been informed that a large gathering is expected to take place the evening of Thursday, February 19 near the Richmond Green Picnic Shelters, located at 1300 Elgin Mills Road East.
Residents, visitors and businesses may experience traffic delays and increased congestion in the area.
Please follow all posted signage and directions from York Regional Police.

Please note, flags at all Richmond Hill facilities are flying at half-mast due to the recent tragedy in Tumbler Ridge, B.C. Our thoughts are with the families and loved ones of the victims, and the entire Tumbler Ridge community.
