Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety during Fire Prevention Week
RICHMOND HILL – While we hear a variety of sounds every day, none might be quite as important as knowing the sounds of fire safety. The theme for this year’s Fire Prevention Week (October 3-7), “Learn the Sounds of Fire Safety!” aims to educate Richmond Hill residents about the different sounds smoke and carbon monoxide alarms make, such as:

Council Eliminates Waste Bin Exchange Fee

RICHMOND HILL – Residents looking to exchange damaged or broken Richmond Hill labelled blue boxes and/or green bins can once again do so for free.
Council has eliminated the $8.45 exchange fee that was initially introduced in August 2020 to help offset replacement costs. This change is effective retroactive to June 22, 2021.
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, waste bin sales/exchanges were paused from January 13 to June 21, 2021.
