A community flag-raising will take place tomorrow (Thursday, February 5, 2026) at 6 p.m. at Richmond Green Sports Centre and Park (1300 Elgin Mills Road East). Higher‑than‑usual attendance is expected.
Residents, visitors and businesses may experience traffic delays, temporary road closures and increased congestion in the area during the event.

The City of Richmond Hill has been informed that two demonstrations are expected to take place on Saturday January 17, 2026 beginning at 12:00 p.m.
The first demonstration will take place at the 301 High Tech Road Plaza parking lot, travel south along Bayview to the 401 and then back north along Yonge Street to the plaza at 8783 Yonge Street just north of Highway 7.
