RICHMOND HILL – Today, Premier Doug Ford announced a $28.5 billion funding commitment to expand Ontario’s transit network. As part of this commitment, the Province will invest $5.6 billion to build the Yonge Subway Extension (YSE) north to Richmond Hill. Council passed By-law 56-19 to officially change Richmond Hill’s name to The Corporation of the City of Richmond Hill. With the change, Council reinforced Richmond Hill’s position in York Region and the Province as an urbanized and competitive municipality. Richmond Hill's 2019 street sweeping cleanup program is being performed starting Monday, April 8 and is expected to be complete by Thursday, April 25, depending on weather conditions.
During this time, please refrain from parking on any street within Richmond Hill from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday to Friday.
