Richmond Hill David Dunlap Observatory Turns 90!
RICHMOND HILL – This year marks the 90th anniversary of the Richmond Hill David Dunlap Observatory (RHDDO). Since opening on May 31, 1935, the RHDDO has been home to Canada’s largest telescope and a centre for astronomical discovery, education and community programming.
To celebrate the anniversary, residents are invited to explore the night sky, discover the cosmos and learn about the history of this unique site through exhibitions across the site.

Take notice that the Council of The Corporation of the City of Richmond Hill passed By-law 37-25 on May 14, 2025 under section 34 of the Planning Act, R. S. O. 1990.
And take notice that an appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal in respect of the Zoning By-law may be made by filing a written notice of appeal with the City Clerk of The Corporation of the City of Richmond Hill, no later than 4:30 p.m. on June 5, 2025.
