Take notice that the Council of The Corporation of the City of Richmond Hill passed By-law 43-24 on May 22, 2024 under section 34 of the Planning Act, R. S. O. 1990.
And take notice that an appeal to the Ontario Land Tribunal in respect of the Zoning By-law may be made by filing a written notice of appeal with the City Clerk of The Corporation of the City of Richmond Hill, no later than 4:30 p.m. on June 18, 2024.

Richmond Hill – Richmond Hill is working to increase the housing supply to help alleviate a province-wide housing crisis. The City is developing proposed changes to its Official Plan and Zoning By-laws to increase the number of residential units that can be built on a property.
The proposed changes will allow up to four residential units on single-detached, semi-detached, or townhouse properties, where currently three are permitted.

RICHMOND HILL – In effort to protect birds from urban hazards, Council has endorsed mandatory Bird-Safe Design Standards for new private and public buildings in Richmond Hill, effective immediately.
According to Birds Canada, approximately 25 million migratory birds die as a direct result of collisions with buildings in Canada each year.
