Last week, several pieces of public art were stolen from Richmond Hill’s Lake Wilcox Park while the park was closed overnight.
I am both heartbroken and appalled. Public art is an important part of our thriving community, celebrating our unique spaces and diverse culture. The stolen statues have been standing in the park for years and were adored by the community.

Notice of Temporary Basketball Court Closure: David Hamilton Park

Please be advised that the basketball court at David Hamilton Park will be closed for approximately one week beginning Wednesday, August 19 to allow for court improvements. As a measure of safety, the area will be fenced off during construction.
