Zoning By-laws regulate the use of land by establishing standards with respect to how land may be used, where buildings and structures can be placed, and many other important aspects of development such as building height, density, setbacks (e.g., distance between a building and a street), landscaping and parking. Your input will help shape residential and commercial development in these locations:
- Yonge and 16th/Carrville Key Development Area
- Newkirk Local Centre
- Oak Ridges Local Centre
- Village Local Centre
Richmond Hill’s Zoning By-laws will implement the vision and policies of the City’s Official Plan which provides long-term guidance in building and growing our vibrant community. Visit RichmondHill/ZoneRH for information on the open house and the new Comprehensive Zoning By-law.
