Council to Consider Changing Richmond Hill to a City
Council passed a motion to discuss changing Richmond Hill from a town to a city. The discussion will take place at the March 25, 2019 Council meeting. Members of Council are encouraged to communicate with their residents to give them an opportunity to learn more about this decision and to have their opinion heard. Information about the estimated cost to make this change will be shared at the March 25 Council meeting. Should Richmond Hill Council Meetings Begin with Canada’s National Anthem?
Council passed a motion to discuss playing Canada's national anthem at the beginning of Council meetings at the March 25, 2019 Council meeting. The resolution states Canadian identity and national symbols such as the Canadian national anthem unite all Canadians and provide a joint sense of pride. Members of Council are encouraged to communicate with their residents in advance of the March 25 meeting.
