WHAT? | Will be educating the public on what it takes to get prepared for an emergency |
WHERE? | At Hillcrest Mall (9350 Yonge Street), Centre Court as well as the south parking lot |

WHY? | Richmond Hill staff have been educating the public throughout the course of Emergency Preparedness Week and aim to reach as many individuals as possible. This community engagement event will feature stakeholders that would be involved in most local disaster, crisis or emergency management situations. Attendees will learn about the importance of being prepared and why it is essential to have 72-hour kits and established emergency plans. Representatives from the various services will be on hand to ensure that all questions can be answered and to assist in the public education process. The goal is to encourage everyone to understand their individual responsibilities during an emergency and to get prepared. |
