Heartbeat Technologies Inc. Opens Canadian Office in Richmond Hill, Ontario as Part of its Global Expansion Strategy

Israeli based company recently selected by Baycrest Health Sciences-Led Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation (CABHI) to test their comprehensive Patient Monitoring System At Ontario Seniors Care Organizations 

TORONTO, Jan. 18, 2018 - HeartBeat Technologies Inc. is one of two Israeli companies that have been awarded the opportunity to test their innovative aging and brain health solution at two Canadian seniors care organizations, after being selected for a joint partnership program operated by the Baycrest Health Sciences-led Centre for Aging + Brain Health Innovation (CABHI) and the Israel Innovation Authority (IIA).  

HeartBeat Technologies is one of the first companies to become part of the recently established Richmond Hill Center for Business Development (CBD). The CBD specializes in international trade and business development consulting, assisting Israeli and other international companies in developing sustainable and long term growth strategies through successful expansion into the North American markets. The Center offers a wide range of business services designed to help successfully expand a company's product or service offering in the local markets. The "Center" is located in, and supported by, the Town of Richmond Hill. Local sponsors of the CBD also include Sun Life Financial, Compugen, and Pro-Lab Diagnostics.

The joint partnership initiative recently announced by Baycrest Health Sciences and the Israel Innovation Authority (IIA) is part of a Canada-Israel Collaboration Program that provides up to $250,000 (CAD) from CABHI and additional funding from IIA that can be leveraged by commercial organizations in Israel to test their aging and brain health innovations at Ontario senior’s care organizations. This program supports Israeli companies in deriving international scientific evidence to accelerate their innovations.  In turn, Canadian organizations will have the opportunity to test cutting edge solutions addressing key challenges in seniors’ care. Moreover, the program contributes to Canada’s innovation economy, building on our strengths to turn ideas into action.

HBT's solution combines off-the-shelf wearable sensors with powerful proprietary cloud-based software to form a comprehensive patient monitoring system.
