Drones, E-bikes and Fireworks Not Allowed in City Parks

RICHMOND HILL, ON – Richmond Hill is home to more than 167 beautiful parks, many with unique amenities and natural features that residents and visitors love. From a lakeside boardwalk to a first-of-its-kind play structure, there is something for everyone to discover this summer and throughout the year.

Designed with input from the community, Richmond Hill’s recently updated Parks Use by-law helps protect our parkland and is in place for the safety and enjoyment of you and others. You can do your part to help by:

• Putting litter and household waste where it belongs – please don’t dump in our parks
• Being respectful of others by minimizing noise levels
• Keeping pets on leash unless in a designated off-leash area
• Leaving at home anything that may cause damage to our natural areas or create hazards/disruption for other park visitors, including:
  • E-bikes, e-scooters and/or other motor vehicles
  • Tents
  • Remote-operated drones
  • Fireworks, cannabis and/or any type of open-air burning
  • Golf clubs (playing golf is not allowed in the parks)
