Help Shape the Design of Richmond Hill’s New Gateway
Take a short survey for the chance to win
Richmond Hill – The City of Richmond Hill is asking residents to help guide the future design of a new gateway lighting feature to be installed at Yonge Street and Garden Avenue.
Feedback from residents will help provide direction for the look and feel of the vertical installation welcoming motorists and visitors to our city as they travel north along Yonge Street into Richmond Hill.
The initiative to design and install a gateway lighting feature to signify the entrance to Richmond Hill was identified as part of York Region’s 2012 Yonge Street South Streetscape Master Plan. The first phase of this project, involving the construction of the median and streetscape infrastructure, was completed in fall 2021.
The City is now in the early stages of the next phase which is to develop design concepts for the lighting feature. There will be more opportunities for public input as the project progresses and before a design is finalized.
Residents can fill out the short online survey and be entered into a draw for a prize. The contest ends on July 28, 2022. To enter, visit RichmondHill.ca/Gateway.
