The City of Richmond Hill has been informed that two demonstrations are expected to take place on Saturday January 17, 2026  beginning at 12:00 p.m.

The first demonstration will take place at the 301 High Tech Road Plaza parking lot, travel south along Bayview to the 401 and then back north along Yonge Street to the plaza at 8783 Yonge Street just north of Highway 7. A second demonstration will take place on Yonge and 16^th Avenue and travel north on Yonge Street to Dave Barrow Civic Square(at Major Mackenzie Drive).

As a result, there may be traffic disruptions, temporary road closures, and delays in these areas.

Residents, visitors, businesses and participants in the demonstration are advised to follow directions from York Regional Police.
