Multiple field investigations are needed to determine the current condition of the facility. These investigations will include:
- a topographic survey
- hydrogeological investigations (surface water sampling and groundwater monitoring)
- sediment sampling
- natural heritage surveys

It is anticipated that the field investigations will begin late-May 2023 and are expected to continue into the fall as late as October 2023.
