Notice of Passing of a Zoning By-law by
The Corporation of the City of Richmond Hill
Take Notice that the Council of The Corporation of the City of Richmond Hill passed By-law 146-20 on December 9, 2020 under Ontario Regulation 345/20: Order Under Subsection 7.0.2 (4) of the Planning Act – Patios which provides that this temporary use by-law is exempt from subsections 34 (12) to (14.3), (14.5) to (15) and (19) of the Planning Act and paragraphs 4 and 5 of subsection 6 (9) of Ontario Regulation 545/06 under the Planning Act.
An explanation of the purpose and effect of the Zoning By-law and map showing the location of the lands to which the amendment applies, is set out below. The amendment was processed under City file D24-20001.
Council in making its decision on this matter took into consideration all written and oral comments received on the applications.

Explanatory Note to By-Law 146-20
By-law 146-20 affects the Subject Lands shown in the map below.
The purpose and effect of this extending temporary use Zoning By-law 146-20 is to extend Zoning By-law 91-20 which established temporary uses with appropriate development standards with respect to the establishment and expansion of outdoor patios throughout the City in response to the recent direction from the Province of Ontario to support the resumption of business during the COVID-19 Emergency. This By-law will remain in effect until January 1, 2022.
