Please be advised that Altamira Road will have intermittent closures, starting April 2025 and continuing into Summer 2025.

Road closures will be in place on:

• Stage 1: Wood Lane and Altamira Road intersection from May 5 - 14 
• Stage 2: Altamira Road from Wood Lane to west of Libby Boulevard from May 12 - July 11

The City has retained Trisan Construction to complete drainage improvements on Altamira Road to address flooding concerns. The scope of work includes new storm sewer pipe, reconstruction of a section of sanitary sewer, re-grading and road restoration. 

Detours

• Stage 1: Vehicle traffic will be detoured through Rumble Avenue, Mill Street and Libby Boulevard
• Stage 2: Vehicle traffic will be detoured through Wood Lane, Rumble Avenue, Mill Street and Libby Boulevard.

Temporary traffic diversions, road closures, driveway access, water and sanitary service disruptions will be required at times to allow construction to be undertaken in a safe and efficient manner.
