PUBLIC NOTICE

TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council of The Corporation of the City of Richmond Hill adopted at its meeting of March 27, 2024, the following Development Charges By-laws in accordance with the Development Charges Act, 1997:

By-law No.           By-law Name

6-24                       City-wide Development Charges for Engineering Services
7-24                       City-wide Development Charges for Public Works 
8-24                       City-wide Development Charges for Fire Protection Services
9-24                       City-wide Development Charges for Parks and Recreation Services
10-24                     City-wide Development Charges for Library Services
11-24                     Bayview North East Development Area - Development Charges By-law
12-24                     Headford Excluding Storm Development Area - Development Charges By-law

Any individual or organization may appeal the By-laws to the Local Planning Appeal Tribunal under Section 14 of the Development Charges Act by filing with the City Clerk of the City of Richmond Hill a notice of appeal setting out the objection to the By-law and the reasons supporting the objection. 

The last day to make an appeal is May 6, 2024.

The Development Charges By-laws cover services that benefit all residents of the City of Richmond Hill and services that provide benefit to particular planning areas.  The City-wide Development Charges By-laws covers all lands in the City, and each Area Specific Development Charges By-laws covers specific lands relevant to the area.
