Yesterday, York Regional Police arrested and charged a former Richmond Hill employee with Fraud Over $5,000 and Breach of Trust By Public Official.

The police investigation was prompted by an internal review of ice rental utilization where a number of irregularities were found with ice rental transactions.

"Public Trust is the foundation of what we do as elected officials and public servants, said Mayor Dave Barrow. "Any breach of trust is completely unacceptable. We take this matter extremely seriously and are working with the police as they continue their investigation."
