Learn about four proposed Official Plan Amendments and the Comprehensive Zoning By-law Review
RICHMOND HILL – The City of Richmond Hill invites residents and businesses to continue to be involved in planning the future of the city by attending an in-person open house.
Richmond Hill is currently in the third phase of the Official Plan Update project, also known as City Plan, and is in the process of seeking feedback to help plan four growth areas. Alongside this significant project that will guide land use and future development, the City is also working on a Comprehensive Zoning By-law review to implement any approved amendments to the Official Plan.
City Plan Open House
Date: Wednesday, June 7, 2023
Time: 7 – 9 p.m.
Location: McConaghy Centre, 10100 Yonge Street
At this open house, participants will learn more about the proposed Official Plan Amendments regarding four city centres and how the Zoning By-law could be updated to implement the Official Plan vision for centres and corridors in these and other mixed-use areas of the city.
Identified in the Key Directions Report, these centres are located at Yonge Street and Carrville/16th Avenue, Yonge Street and Major Mackenzie Drive, Yonge Street and King Road, and Major Mackenzie Drive East and Newkirk Road.
Participants will also have the opportunity to provide input related to:
- creating more compact, complete communities in centres;
- planning for transportation, recreation and other amenities to support long term growth within these areas;
- facilitating development that will provide economic, social and environmental prosperity for the city, and more.
Online registration for the in-person open house is now available at RichmondHill.ca/OPUpdate.
