At the virtual open house, residents can ask questions, provide comments and learn more about proposed amendments to the Official Plan, including changes related to building “15-minute communities,” providing affordable market housing, responding to climate change and prioritizing active transportation.
The updated Official Plan will guide land use and development in Richmond Hill to 2041, helping to make the city a dynamic place to live, work, play, shop and innovate. Council endorsed the key directions for the Plan in February 2022, bringing the city another step closer to achieving its vision of becoming “the centerpiece of York Region and one of the most prominent, complete communities in the Greater Toronto Area.”
